30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 1

Give thanks in everything… (1 Thess. 5:18)

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. The Lord has blessed me with so much, and I am grateful. Also, both of my grandmothers cook really big feasts for Thanksgiving— that may be part of why I love this holiday so much.

In an effort to express and share my thankfulness this month, I’ll be posting each day of November with something I’m thankful for that day. Sometimes the post may be short, sometimes it will just be a picture, and other times a novel. This month I’m going to be try to be thankful for both the big things and little things in my life—hopefully it will encourage you to do the same!

Day One:

I am thankful for my husband, Stephen. I’m thankful that he loves the Lord above all else. I’m thankful for the way he serves me, loves me, forgives me, and cares for me. I’m grateful that he knows my faults and loves me despite them. I’m thankful that the Lord’s hand has been on our relationship and for Stephen’s faithful leadership. I’m thankful for the 5+ years of our relationship and the year and a half of marriage we’ve shared.
