Hi, I’m Megan.
I live just outside of Nashville, Tennessee, with my little family. My husband Stephen and I have been married a little more than five years and life gets sweeter every day—he’s my best friend. In December 2017, our baby boy, Griffin, was born and came to our family through the gift of adoption.
Pre-baby, you could often find us at Bridgestone Area for a Nashville Predators game, singing along with one of our favorite artists at the Ryman Auditorium (my favorite venue), or seeing a show at TPAC. These days, we’re in our sweatpants by 7 p.m., catching up on our DVR’d shows and perfecting our baby talk. However, on Friday nights, you can still find us at our favorite Mexican restaurant eating our weight in chips and salsa. If we’re really feeling wild and crazy, we may go to Target afterward.
Stick around long enough and you’ll learn that my relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important relationship in my life. I grew up in the church and became a Christian at a young age. As I’ve gotten older, however, I have come to better understand my faith. Stephen and I serve at Westwood Baptist Church, where he is on staff as the worship and music leader.
During the week I work as a writer and editor for a content marketing company. I love my job and the different types of clients I get to work with. But on this blog I write about what’s important to me: my faith, my family and friends, motherhood, the adoption process, favorite books, etc. I’ve shared about my love for the Nashville Predators, the books I’m reading, and podcasts I’m loving. I’ve shared some of my favorite recipes, like a healthy veggie breakfast casserole and a not-so-healthy nacho recipe. I’ve talked about my grandfather’s difficult battle with brain cancer, my struggles with self-esteem, and a few of the reasons why I adore my husband.
I appreciate people reading this blog. I love the emails and comments that I get. Thanks for checking it out!
