About Me

I’m Megan, and I’m glad you’re reading my blog. I live just outside of Nashville, Tennessee, with my husband, Stephen. We’ve been married for about five years and life gets sweeter every day—he’s my best friend! We became first-time homeowners just two years ago, and we’re still working to make our little house feel like home. Right now, it’s just us and our silly puppy, Rosie, but we’re in the process of adopting our first child.

Stick around long enough and you’ll learn that my relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important relationship in my life. I grew up in church and became a Christian at a young age. As I’ve gotten older, however, I have come to better understand my faith. Stephen and I serve at Westwood Baptist Church, where he is on staff as the worship and music leader. I get the privilege of working in the kids’ ministry, rocking sweet babies in the nursery and teaching Sunday school to a cute—and crazy—group of kiddos.

I spend Monday through Friday as a writer and editor for a customer media and marketing content firm in Nashville. I love my job, and I love getting to work with a variety of clients from several industries. You can learn more about my professional writing here.

On this blog, however, I write about what’s important to me: my faith, my family and friends, my hobbies, etc. I’ve written about my love for the Nashville Predators and my favorite books. I’ve shared some of my favorite recipes, like a healthy veggie breakfast casserole and not-so-healthy nacho supreme. I’ve shared a bit about my grandfather’s battle with brain cancer, my struggles with self-image, and a few of the reasons why I adore my husband.

If I’m not typing away on my laptop, you can probably find me curled up in the recliner with a good book, cuddling with my puppy while watching Hallmark movies, cheering on the Predators at Bridgestone Arena, or stirring up a batch of cupcakes in my kitchen.

I appreciate people reading this blog. I love the emails and comments that I get. Thanks for checking it out!
